Swim course
The swim will take part in an artificial laguna in Amager Strandpark located four kilometers from central Copenhagen. For a safe start for all athletes the swim will go off in waves of 250 - 300 persons.
The calm waters at the beach park offer great potential for fast swim times. The water temperature will be between 20 and 24 degrees and wetsuits are allowed.
The three bridges crossing the laguna and a shallow seaboard make up for a perfect location for both athletes and spectators. From the surrounding seaboard spectators can follow their favourite athletes most of the way around the swim course. The bridges make up for spectacular hot spots on the swim course.
The Copenhagen Metro is only a few hundred meters from Amager Standpark. This makes it is easy for athletes, family members and spectators to travel to and from the swim start. After the swim spectators have easy access to the hot spots on the bike and run courses via the metro and s-train network.
